Cakery

Ali Kantor, founder of the "cakery" discovered her sweet tooth at the ripe age of one, when she tasted her first swedish fish (red of course). She was transformed and fixated by sugar and hasn't looked back since. After graduating with a finance & entrepreneurship degree from the university of florida (go gators), Ali resided in Fort Lauderdale, where she attended Johnson & Wales University. There she cultivated her passion for cakes and confections and graduated with a degree in baking and pastry.


Next, Ali traveled to New York City, where she worked with elite industry professionals such as "america's cake maestro," decorator Ron Ben Israel, as well as dessert-buffet maven, Amy Atlas of Amy Atlas Events.


The "cakery" portion of Papery & Cakery was founded with the goal of creating delicious, innovative and fresh desserts. We also realize that sharing a delicious morsel of cake, as well as producing it can be pretty amazing. Hence, Cakery Friday was launched on our blog, as a means of teaching home cooks to savor the entire experience, as well as the outcome.

 
 

Ali is today's ultimate connoisseur of confections! she is skilled at creating desserts ranging from elaborate cakes, cupcakes, cookies and pastries, to decadent chocolates and truffles. Taste is never compromised, and all baking is from scratch with the finest and freshest ingredients. Ali is also available for event, food and dessert styling.
