Did I mention how legit and how cool the Martha Stewart craft box was this month? Oh, I did? Well then. It is the BEST. THING. EVER. There, now I said it.

I’ve been feeling all sorts of inspired lately. Inspired by the change of seasons. Inspired by a sudden affection for feminine patterns and vintage florals. Ooh, and inspired to cut / tear / pin every good idea I see. Yes, that kind of inspired. And every inspired woman / man needs an inspiration board to keep the creative juices flowing.

Creating your own bulletin board {and making it girly and gorgeous} is way easier than you might think. All it takes is a this stretched burlap and a boatload of happiness from Martha Stewart {also known as decoupage lace trim / fabric to fabric decoupage / vintage floral ribbon / gold push pins / pom pom stickers}.

First I laid the decoupage lace trim out on the burlap canvas, and cut as needed. Using the fabric to fabric decoupage, I painted a thick layer over the lace, adhering it to the burlap. Be patient. It takes a little while to dry. Two layers is even more ideal.

Next, I arranged the vintage floral ribbon going in the opposite direction on the canvas. Instead of decoupage, I secured them with thumbtacks on the tops and bottoms of the canvas, that way they could be used as a place to tuck in photos / magazine tears / general inspirations.

I jazzed up the canvas with some of these gorgeous fabric camellia stickers. {Disclosure: I had to hide them from Raya for fear she would never return them. She was smitten with them}.

I also placed a few of these little lovelies on top of my thumbtacks to give them a floral face lift. Then I pinned away!

Now my little bits and pieces are stunning in and of themselves…
