3 Oscar Worthy DIYs

When Martha Stewart sent me a box of amazing {sparkly} crafts last month for the 12 Months of Martha project, I knew they were truly Oscar worthy. Lucky for me the Oscars are this weekend {and I’ve even snuck in a few movie trips to see some of the nominees}. Here are three ways I’ve put my Martha craft box to the use for Oscar worthy DIYs

1. Sparkly drink tags
I’m quite smitten with the red glitter paper in Martha Stewart Crafts Lovenotes Paper Pad. Simply choose a  Martha Stewart craft punch to designate one particular icon for each guest. Secure with a glue dot.

Then you know that your dirty martini won’t be lost in the mix. {My fave dirty martini recipe can be found here!}.

2. Glitter candy cones

There’s nothing better than sitting on the couch analyzing Oscar fashion with a big cone of chocolate candy. Simply cut a corner of the same red glitter paper, cutting the edge round. Then twirl into a cone and secure with a few glue dots.

Voila. A glitzy way to keep your candy handy.

3. Balloon Art

Every good celebration calls for a gorgeous balloon. It’s super easy to decorate balloons with glitter. Just draw whatever you’d like onto the balloon {I’m a fan of the clear balloons}. Use Martha Stewart Crafts Glitter Glue {which has a very small tip which makes it very precise}. Pour on glitter, shake off excess.

Once dry, take a small paint brush to brush away excess glitter. Hello my little Oscar friend!

Hope you are celebrating Oscar Sunday in style {and glitter}.

xoxo,

Niki
