Sisterly Six

Well it’s finally here. Our brother is getting hitched. In lieu of your average Sisterly Six, we thought we would share six things you need to do to get groomed, primped and prodded for a big day. In other words, six things that have become our pre-wedding ritual.

One: The Tan

Our dear friend Lizzie once said, “You could lose 10 pounds, or you could get a tan. Same difference.” These words of infinite wisdom have stuck with us like glue. And so, while we would always love to lose 10 pounds, We always turn to that reliable tan. We are big fans of the spray tan {never the bed and rarely the real sun which is a little scary}. We love getting sprayed {and if you need a great South Florida person just comment and we can share}. But when we turn to the bottle, we love Sun Laboratories. It is natural and yet lasting {buy it in medium}. A win win. It doesn’t smell bad either. Just make sure to wash your palms after application. Prepare yourself for amazing and skinny results!

Two: The Brows

When in doubt consult an expert. We have a brow guru who is a shaping genius. In between, we love Tweezerman. The brows are the windows to the soul {or maybe that’s eyes?}.

Three: Break a Sweat

While a tan does make you seem thinner, there’s nothing like the real thing. And so, to prep for every big event we turn to the gym. Or lately to Flywheel. And Fly Barre. And away from the refrigerator. And this tank makes sweating look pretty darn good. Especially with a tan.

Four: Water

Drinking more water makes everything improve. Especially your skin which needs to be flawless {or flawlessly covered} for a big day. So drink up. With this BKR bottle it’s kind of fun and happy too.

Five: Lash Luxe

Think faux lashes are a fad? Think again. These things are here to stay and they make such a huge difference you won’t believe it. We had a lash bar at Megan’s shower a few months ago and it was a huge hit. Beyond huge. Amazing. So pick up a pair of these and prepare yourself for some dramatic eye batting.

Six: The Mane

To get your hair healthy and ready for a big event don’t wash as often. Instead turn to dry shampoo to get you through some of the greasier days. It adds volume and smells de-lish. Our hair guru also recommends Sebastian Clear Cellophanes treatments once a month to keep hair healthy and shiny and growing faster. She also loves jojoba oil.

Happy wedding week M + O!

xoxo,

Niki
