Nail Polished Jewelry

I’ve been dying for a piece of neon jewelry for over a year now. To be honest, I haven’t found anything I love, so I decided to create something myself.

I popped into Forever21 last week and picked up two rhinestone necklaces and a fabulous pair of rhinestone earrings {under $25 total for all 3!}.

Then I used brightly colored nail polishes to create my masterpieces!

Ingredients

To begin, I drew out each piece of jewelry and tested my designs on paper.

{I didn’t love my first rendition of the earrings, and I changed the pattern when painting}.

Next, using a paint brush with a very fine tip, dip into the polish and apply to each stone.

Depending on your desire and the opacity of the polish, you might need a second coat.

You’ll quickly get the hang of how much polish is needed to coat each stone. Apply in your pattern of choice. If you make a mistake, use remover with a fine tipped q-tip. {Soak your brushes in remover once you are finished}.

Let dry and voila! Gorgeous jewelry transformed!

xoxo,

Niki
