It’s been hot. So hot that just the thought of spending time with my glue gun makes me sweat. Yes, that hot.
I was lucky enough to sneak away last week for a vacation with the husband. So when I came home, I didn’t really feel like crafting. I felt like sleeping. And reapplying aloe to my sunburn. Too much fun = way too much sun.
But I didn’t want to disappoint you. After all, I know you’ve been agonizing with anticipation for another DIY.
Digging through my cabinets, I found lanyard. Apparently some of you call it gimp. I call it awesome. I also call it my favorite arts and crafts project to give to kids at summer camp. {And I should know, I was the director of arts and crafts one summer. How fitting, right?} {You can buy neon yellow, pink
, and green
lanyard yourself}.
I could seriously wow you with my box stitch skills. But alas, I digress.
This lanyard was neon. Which pretty much spoke to me. It said: “Make a bracelet for the masses.”
So I did.
I wrapped 3 neon lanyards around a regular old wood bangle which you can buy right here for almost nothing.
The best part of lanyard…. it’s super easy to tie. So I did. I hid the knots right there under the bracelet.
Oh, and of course I wore it the very next day.
Happy lanyard-ing.
xoxo,
Niki
