Shakery: Dad’s Margarita Two Ways

We are back with another Shakery. This time in honor of Father’s Day. And who doesn’t like drinking on Father’s Day? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Some dads like their margaritas over ice. Other’s prefer it frozen. Either way we’ve got dad covered for an instand fiesta!

Classic Margarita:

  • Salt, for rimming the glass {optional}
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila {we like Patron, silver label}
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
Instructions:
  1. If using salt, place in a shallow dish. Moisten the rim of a rocks glass with a dampened paper towel, then dip in salt. {Note, if you don’t like your salt on a margarita we aren’t sure we can be friends with you. It’s obviously the best part}.
  2. Fill the glass with ice; add tequila, lime juice, and Cointreau; and stir a few times until chilled. Serve immediately, garnish with sliced lime. ** If you prefer a sweeter margarita, you can add in 1 ounce of simple syrup **

Strawberry Frozen Margarita:

  • 1 cup ice
  • Salt, for rimming the glass {optional, kind of}
  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila {again Patron, Silver Label}
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3/4 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1/2 ounce Cointreau
Instructions:
  1. Use the same salt technique as above
  2. Combine all of the ingredients in a blender. Blend until smooth. Place in prepared glass, garnish with sliced lime.

Drink up for Dad!

xoxo,

Adam
