Lemon Lime Brunch

If you know me, you know I love brunch. I could it it for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack. But I especially love it during traditional brunch hours {10 am to 6 pm, right?}. Luckily, my family loves it just as much as I do. That’s why they obliged when I asked them to celebrate memorial day weekend with eggs, bacon and biscuits.

This was the perfect excuse to break out some of my new limey Crate and Barrel goodies {a fab anniversary gift from my mama}. J’adore the candles, napkin rings and especially the die-cut place mats.

They looked perfectly summery with a lemon yellow arrangement I made using a few bunches of flowers I picked up at Fresh Market.

Here’s how you can make this arrangement happen.

1. Gather two vases of the same shape and close in height {I used square but round works too}. One needs to be smaller enough to fit inside the other.

2. Arrange your flowers. Trim off the stems to the proper. Trim off leaves that might be in water. I mixed tons of yellow flowers. Gather them together by the stems like you’re forming bouquet and placed  them in water in the smaller vase.

3. Cut 2 lemons into thin slices. Place the slices gently in between the two vases. Fill that middle section with water.

Voila! A beautiful lemon arrangement.

Happy summer!

xoxo,

Niki
