Cakery Friday: Super Bowl Oreo Truffle Footballs

Superbowl is this weekend and I LOVE these super simple Oreo Truffle Balls. I put a football spin on them by shaping them into little footballs and piping on the laces {but they taste just as delicious in round balls}. They can be dipped in either dark or white chocolate. No matter how you serve them, they will be the hit of the party.

Gather the {few} ingredients.

In a food processor crush 2 1/2 rows of Oreo cookies, until super fine, I initially created the mixture by taking out the Oreo insides, but realized that I should have used the entire Oreo so I added it back in the next step. {You can also place the cookies in a plastic bag and crush them until fine}

Add 8 oz. of room temperature cream cheese. Pulse to combine.

Place mixture in the fridge to chill. I chose to shape my balls into small footballs; when I removed them from the refrigerator I used a small scoop to make sure they were the same size and then tapered the edges to look like footballs.

Allow the truffles to chill again. Melt 2 cups of chocolate {either in microwave or a double boiler} and dip the truffles into the chocolate.

I used a small tip to pip the football laces onto the truffles in white chocolate. Royal icing works too.

Chill before serving.

Happy Superbowling!
