It’s been a wild ride the last 3 years. I’m lucky enough to have been able to spend it with my best friend. Can’t wait for the next 3, 33 and maybe even 333? {sugarboo designs pillow}.
Love you Cole. Happy 3 years!

BHLDN
If you’re a bride-to-be who hasn’t been living in a hole lately, then you must already know that Anthropologie launched a bridal website called BHLDN. Yes, I believe that means BEHOLDEN without the vowels {well aren’t they clever?}. Despite the fact that I have been happily married for three years now {actually its exactly three years tomorrow, and you just know I will be blogging about it}, I still found myself drooling over many of the goods, including jewelry and accessories that are also non-bride appropriate. AKA: its a new shopping website filled with things that want. Verdict = dangerous.
Here are some of my faves on the site right now. I do realize I would look rather ridiculous in a wedding dress right now, but maybe for a vow renewal in a few more years? Ok, probably not but I still love it.
A mod bridesmaid look. Or something to wear to a wedding. Yes please.
These are so cool and I am pretty sure I could fly away in them.
XO would make a fab gift for bridesmaids to say thank you!
Hello shower/bach party gift for the bride.
Crystals in the hair. Totally unique and gorgeous!
If you think you might soon Be-Holden an engagement ring on your finger, be sure to check out this newest endeavor.
xoxo,
Niki

Cakery Friday: Bran Flax Muffins
I, like Niki, have not always been the biggest fan of breakfast {although I do love Rice Chex, hold the milk}. Since I have come to the realization that it is necessary staple every morning, I am always looking for portable, yet delicious and healthy, breakfast items. These Bran Flax muffins are surprisingly delicious and actually not bad for you {like most muffins, which let’s be honest, are just cupcakes without the frosting}. And the best part, they’re super simple to make!
Gather all of the ingredients.
In a large bowl combine 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour, 3/4 cup flax meal, 3/4 cup oat flour {both flax meal and oat flour can be purchased at your local health food store}, I cup of brown sugar, 2 teaspoons baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoon cinnamon. Whisk together gently.
In another bowl combine 2 eggs- beaten, 3/4 cup skim milk and 1 teaspoon of vanilla.
Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the wet. Gently fold together everything.
Shred 2 large carrots and 2 apples.
Fold the carrots, apples and 1/2 a cup of whatever dry fruit you prefer {I used a mixture of golden raisins and dried cranberries}.
Distribute mixture into either a greased regular size muffin tins or mini muffin tin, filling the batter up 3/4 of the way.
Bake in a 350 degree for 15 minutes, muffins are ready when a cake tester inserted into the center comes out clean.

Happy Breakfast Baking!
