Cakery Friday: Cake Batter Bark

I’m a little overwhelmed while writing this blog. I feel so blessed, I am engaged to my soulmate, have the best future family {shout out to Terry, Susan and my “clownislor” and now soon-to-be sister, Jamie} AND I am about to be an aunt to thing A and thing B {yay!}. Thank you all for your well wishes!

Okay, enough about me, let’s get to the chocolate! My sisters, mom and I are “batter” people. Who needs the baked good when the batter tastes SO much better? If you, like us, love the batter then you will LOVE this cake batter bark. It is very easy to put together and looks and tastes delicious!

Gather all of the ingredients.

In either a double boiler or microwave safe bowl, melt 6 ounces of good quality dark chocolate.

Spread the chocolate in an even layer across either a sheet of parchment paper or a Silpat mat. Allow to chill for 20 minutes in the freezer.

Meanwhile, in another double boiler or microwave safe bowl, melt 12 ounces of good quality white chocolate.

Add in 3 heaping tablespoons of dry cake batter {crazy, I know, but the flavor gets infused into the chocolate}. Stir until the lumps dissolve.

Spread the white chocolate mixture evenly over the dark chocolate.

Decorate however you see fit, I created a “funfetti” looking bark with multi-colored sprinkles….  and it was amazing!

Happy Chocolate Eating!
