I am on a hunt to find the biggest, greatest, most creative and coolest gingerbread houses! Here are a few of my favorites.

This is the worlds largest gingerbread house! It’s 1,496 square feet and built from 14,250 pounds of gingerbread and 4,750 pounds of icing! It took approximately 1,700 work-hours and nine days to build. Some of the embellishments include: 1,800 Hershey’s chocolate bars, 2,800 nut rolls, 1,200 feet of Twizzlers, 100 pounds of Tootsie Rolls, 300 pounds of DOTS and thousands of other candies!

How cool is this ultra-mod gingerbread house. Red Envelope used to sell it on their website but have since discontinued. You can try to re-create on your own!

The official White House gingerbread house was designed by the White House Pastry Chef Bill Yosses. It is displayed in the State Dining Room of the White House. The replica, made of white chocolate, features a miniature Bo (hard to see, but bottom center), a miniature White House vegetable garden and a view inside to replicate the State Dining Room.

I came across a bunch of award winning houses here. Click through all the pictures, they are so inspiring!

Of course Martha always has the sweetest designs. I love this simple house; it would be a perfect centerpiece at any holiday party.

And another super-cool house!
And the award for the coolest little gingerbread house goes to.. another blogger who refers to herself as Not Martha, I love it!
Merry Christmas Eve!
xoxo,
Ali

The worlds tallest gingerbread house? The sad thing is that I would gladly except the challenge of trying to eat it all…lol
