I came across this amazing post on the Hostess Blog last week and have been totally inspired. I am in love with the idea of hosting a Cereal Party. This particular event wasn’t even designed around the cereal, but I have to say the jars filled with delicious morning cereals are my absolute favorite part.

Put the plan in action and host a fabulous cereal party:

Dress up the cereal choices (and we all know there are plenty of them…) by placing the cereal into apothecary jars wrapped with matching labels. There are lots of these jars available at Save on Crafts, but I’ve found beautiful ones for even less at my local Home Goods. You don’t just have to serve cereal, but if you do make sure to include toppings like cut fruit as well as sugar and cinnamon.

My cereal party would most definitely include:

Milk in vintage bottles.

Saturday morning cartoons (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Jem!!).

Character appearances by Tony the Tiger, Captain Crunch, Toucan Sam, The Trix Rabbit, L.C. Leprechaun, Count Chocula, and of course Snap! Crackle! and Pop! (no I’m not a total cereal junkie, but happened to find lots of useful information from this site!)

A cake made totally of cereal {via Martha}.

I think I’d enforce a strict dress code of pajamas only (my personal favorite way to eat a bowl of cereal).

Cereal parties can be for just about any occasion… just for fun, for a birthday or even a great baby shower!

I love an event that includes something awesomely delicious and is also incredibly creative and unique. I just know it would be gggg-reat.

xoxo,

Niki
