I come from a family of butterfly lovers. My mother, my grandmother and even my mother-in-law have all been crazy about butterflies. Since I live in a townhouse, there are not many opportunities for gardening. Plus, I am definitely lacking in the “green thumb” department. Despite my shortcomings, I dragged Cole to Home Depot yesterday to purchase supplies for my new butterfly planter. I attempted to plant everything this morning and am hoping that the butterflies will come flocking to my plants.
In the meantime, butterflies seem to be everywhere else! This Whimsy Press aqua paper would make an elegant envelope liner. Martha Stewart’s lavender fondant cake is covered with colorful butterflies, an inexpensive way to upgrade to a spectacular cake. These magnets from paper-source are potential mother’s day gifts. The invitation from Elum is my favorite in their book and adorned with pastel butterflies. The photos of the monarchs were actually taken by me.
I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll find some caterpillars in my plants in a few weeks.
