Hello Baby!

Happy weekend! I thought I’d take this time to look back on a few of the fabulous baby announcements and holiday cards that Papery & Cakery worked on this past year. And of course huge congrats should be given to the families of these adorable infants!
Logan Hart’s announcement in pink and chocolate brown is courtesy of Wiley Valentine. The layout of the text is incredibly chic and sophisticated. The roses are delicate and beautiful. It was mailed with this gorgeous chocolate brown envelope and a matching label with roses. Logan really made quite a statement with this announcement!
Tori Hannah’s announcement and matching thank you set was done by Elum in letterpress. Pink and brown are such a marvelous color combination. The entire layout of the announcement with the cool fonts is modern, chic & hip–just like Tori. Her bookmark set with “Tori’s Stories” was a perfect compliment to Tori’s library – a Papery & Cakery creation!
Griffin’s Holiday card was really amazing. The photo itself was a work of art. Wiley Valentine’s beautiful aqua pattern with gold font really brought out Griffy’s eyes. “Peace, love & a snapshot” was the perfect way to say happy holidays! Griffy’s Beautiful Baby Boy announcement, done in letterpress by Oblation is also amazing. The combination of the fonts and colors on the gorgeous cotton paper really leaves an impression (no pun intended).
Happy baby announcements!

Ringing in 2009!

This weekend I went to dinner with Ali & Gavi, my sisters, and our friend Leah. Leah is going to be a bridesmaid in a fabulous wedding this summer. She told us the cutest story about how the bride, Pam, asked her to be in the wedding party….

Pam mailed Leah an adorable package with a note saying “He popped the question, now its my turn.” When the card slid open, it read ” Will you be my bridesmaid?” The package also came with a ring box with a ring pop inside. I love this idea! What a great way to incorporate the ring into other parts of the wedding (and eat candy!).

letterpress save the date has a ring embellished with a crystal for even more bling. It’s perfect for bringing the ring motif into stationery & paper goods. The ring idea can go beyond to other parts of the wedding. Tiffany blue colors harken back to the box that the ring came in. Tiffany cakes & desserts are also another way to incorporate the ring. Giant ring boxes make adorable centerpieces for an engagement party or shower. The candy ring pop idea is a brilliant way “propose” to bridesmaids. I’d love to hear about other creative suggestions to invite your bridesmaids to share the big day with you. Thanks to Leah for sharing!

Purple Passion! Go Ravens!!!

My husband, Cole is a die hard Baltimore Ravens fan. He actually owns and operates an amazing business, RavensTrips.com, taking Ravens fans all over the country to see the Ravens play away games. He spent this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee with RavensTrips.com, watching the Ravens knock the Titans out of the playoffs. In honor of the Ravens incredible run here’s a purple passion post.

Purple is such a rich and beautiful color that works for events year round. Wiley Valentine has a intricate purple letterpress invitation. Luscious verde features an adorable polka dot Bat Mitzvah invite & a chic lavender wedding set. Real Card Studio’s amazing letterpress is perfect for personalized stationery & a gorgeous note to say hello. The bridesmaids dresses are brought to you by Amsale & Vera Wang. The shoes are sexy satin Christian Louboutins! Arabella (Papery & Cakery’s proud new edition!) has an elegant bell press printed plum & gold invite set, featuring a fabulous foldout tied with a bow. Amy Atlas’ treats look perfectly periwinkle and absolutely scrumptious! Louella’s purple engraved design would be fabulous for a fun & contemporary celebration. Ed Reed celebrates yet another interception. Our puppy, Ray (named after Ray Lewis) wears his namesake’s jersey with pride!
Go Ravens!!!!
